Which law applies. This site is operated from Switzerland under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). Where visitors are in the EU/EEA the EU GDPR also applies, and for visitors in the United Kingdom the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 apply.

What we collect and why.

  • Enquiries you send us through our contact form, by email, via WhatsApp, or when booking through Calendly (name, email, phone, and the content of your message) - to respond to you and, if we go on to work together, to manage the project.

  • Technical and usage data your browser provides (IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed), collected through Squarespace Analytics - to deliver, secure and improve the site.

Legal basis (EU/UK GDPR). Steps taken at your request before any contract; performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website; and, for non-essential cookies, your consent.

Who receives it. We never sell your data. It is shared only with the providers that operate the site and our communications, acting on our instructions: Squarespace (website hosting and forms); Google (business email via Google Workspace, and Google Fonts); Calendly (appointment booking); Meta (WhatsApp and Instagram); and LinkedIn.

Transfers outside Switzerland/the EEA. Some of these providers process data in the United States or other countries. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards - Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it. Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact. Client and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Swiss company law (art. 958f CO) and for professional-liability purposes.

Your rights. You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, and - under the GDPR - restriction and portability. Contact info@pl-arch.org. You may also complain to a supervisory authority: the FDPIC (Switzerland), the CNIL (France), the ICO (United Kingdom), or your local EU authority.

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function and stay secure; these require no consent. It also uses analytics cookies (Squarespace Analytics) to understand how the site is used, and functional cookies set by embedded third-party content (Google Fonts, Calendly, Instagram and LinkedIn) when you load or interact with those features.
