What Caught our Eye

Throughout human existence it seems the idea of the home has always been a source of question, what does it mean for a singular space to be associated with the notion of home ? How does it relate to how our lives change throughout our existence, do we always have the same home or does it adapt to these changes ?

Unfortunately, we often do not choose our living space when we are born, we are put into an existing framework built around the people who take care of us and we need to fit in that space, but when does that particular environment become a home ? Does it always become one or do we sometimes feel “not at home” in our own house ? When looking at the notion of the home, one needs to understand the social and psychological aspects which encompass the feeling of the home, how they are translated into physical architectural elements and how do we perceive them.
