What Caught our Eye

Among the numerous architects, urban planners and academics who have made significant contributions to the modern architecture, one particular person stands out as one of the most explicit expression of what it means for architecture to be an experience, both for the our body and our brain. Juhani Pallasmaa is a Finnish architect whose work merges psychology, culture and place as well as phenomenology. In this lecture, he presents architecture’s role as a provider of experiences and how architecture can embody certain emotions.
